I know it's the 19th of August and the show took place on the 6th of July but I am still marveling at Chanel's Haute Couture F/W 2010/11, and have proceeded to publish more photos AGAIN! I can't seem to get enough of the collection and find myself studying it over and over again. It's just sooo perfect: I love the silhouettes, color palettes, and the glamourized embroidery. And so much about it reminds me of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It is a true couture show with the amount of detail and hand work that is shown in each and every garment. I love the reference to the 1920s and 1930s with the practicality of movement with the shorter hems and the modern take on the flapper dress. As Karl says, the modern flapper, "is more body conscious." I also found it brilliant of him to go against the long gown hemline we see so much of, it is time for something new. My favorite garments are toward the end of the show when they are brought up about 50 notches along with the beat of the music - a real crescendo! Oh and did I mention, I will take every style of boot in the show? Give your eyes a treat and check the complete show out at: http://www.chanel.com/fashion/8#8-fall-winter-2010-11-haute-couture-chanel-fashion-show-19,0
Karl, you never cease to amaze me.
God Bless! xx
